What we collect
Account data (email, name, optional affiliation and phone number), the research questions and review configurations you submit, the papers and manuscripts the pipeline produces for you, and usage data needed to operate trials and billing (session cookie, IP-derived rate-limit counters, charge history).
How we use it
To run your reviews, bill completed reviews, prevent abuse of promotional credits, send transactional email about your reviews, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your research content to train AI models.
Public review library
New reviews are public by default. When one completes, its manuscript title and abstract, and the date it completed, are published on the public Arakis review library. Library pages can be opened by anyone with the link, but they ask search engines not to index them and are not listed in our sitemap. This is not an access restriction, and search engines may not honor the request. Nothing else is published: not your name, email, affiliation, the manuscript's author list, the rest of the manuscript, the data, or costs. Reviews created before the library launched stay private unless you choose to publish them.
To opt out, tick "Keep this review private" when you start a review. You can switch any of your reviews between public and private later from the review page; the public site is rebuilt daily, so a change appears there within about a day. We cannot control third parties: anyone who opened a public page, and any search engine or archive that copied one, may keep copies made while a review was public.
Processors
We share data with the subprocessors required to run the service: Stripe (payments — we never store card numbers), OpenAI (review pipeline text processing), Railway (API hosting), and Cloudflare (site hosting and CDN).
Retention & deletion
Your reviews and account data are retained while your account is active. Email [email protected] to request export or deletion of your data; billing records are retained as required for accounting.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment details are held by Stripe, not by us.
